Lovely room and breakfast was delicious...but giving this 2 stars because of the bicycle situation. There are only 3 bikes that work, and they are not in great condition. The hotel gave us 2 to use and the one wheel ended up breaking (not just a flat tire) on a casual ride. La Paul Hotel refused to take the blame and ended up charging us $30 Euro for the wheel even after we explained the situation and how careful we were.
Surprisingly poor service and the staff director refused to acknowledge that the bike breaking was due to its old age and not us. If you’re choosing this hotel because of the free bikes...look elsewhere ! Unless you too would like to be out 30 Euro to repair the next broken part of their bikes lol.
Returned today from a fantastic holiday at Hotel La Paul.
Rooms & hotel were spotlessly clean.
Barbara (breakfast & bar) was fabulous, super fun & friendly!
Alessandra (reception) is the most caring & kind young lady. She speaks fantastic English and is very helpful & friendly.
Housekeeping lady came everyday with fresh towels & bedding and did a fantastic job.
Breakfast was good, lots of continental choice and hot & cold counter.
Lake side gardens are immaculate, perfect for sunbathing,
Lake access for swimming and watching the sunset.
Location is brilliant, just far enough away from the busy town centre but also close enough!
Traditional style hotel, quiet & friendly.
We will be back!
This was a lovely little hotel, great location, very clean and comfortable. The staff were nice, even though there was a young girl on reception that was totally run off her feet and needed help. We had a great stay.
